Glass Flower Set - Red Tulip

Tulips, or tulipa, actually originate from the Ottoman Empire, not Holland as it commonly believed, more specifically Iran, Afghanistan, Turkey and parts of central Asia. A Dutch ambassador, Ogier Ghiselin de Busbecq, who was in Turkey, took the flowers back to his homeland in the sixteenth century. Delicately hand crafted with the most intricate of details, the set comprises of three beautiful glass flowers and two matching leaf stems in a clear glass vase. A beautiful home accessory.
